Cookies for the Soul

I read once that nurturing is taking care of the best within you (and others). There is nothing else really, is there, better than that. I am indebted to those who have kept me inspired and growing all these years.

These cookies are quite nurturing as well, for both body and soul. They are my "if you had one thing to eat on a desert island" food. I shudder to think of how many I've eaten since I've made this exact recipe for 28 years.

Make someone happy by baking something warm and chocolate-y. Don't forget the milk.

Recipe for Create-A-Cookie:

1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 t. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 t. soda
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. cinnamon
1 1/4 c. chocolate chips
3 c. quick oats

Cream butter through eggs. Add dry ingredients one by one and mix. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 12 minutes.

Thank you, Ann. I was hoping you'd share this. My butter is softening right now. :)
