Peony for Your Thoughts




I spent three full days in the garden this week. My rear end and legs are aching but I accomplished a lot and it was heavenly––cool, wet, green, and quiet. I have nothing planned outside today (except for some whiffle ball with the kids).

Cool basket. Of course I want ot fill it with yarn, but it's sort of, um, gappy, there at the bottom.
Peonies always fascinated me as a kid; it seemed like the buds couldn't possibly hold all that bloom inside them. Amazing stuff.
